  Firstly, I'm a regular shopper at JOANN, as I'm a textile artist that still prefers to see potential fabric in person than ordering samples online. This store is equidistant to the Hermitage store from my home, and I would say it is approximately three times larger in Boardman than in Hermitage. However, I prefer to shop in Hermitage for one reason: the staff at this particular store are mostly awful. Nearly every time I approach the fabric counter, they act as if it's not their job to wait on me. When asked about cutting 1/8 of a yard once, the woman looked at me as if I had two heads, stating, "We don't do that." You mean to tell me that you have never had someone ask for approximately 5 inches of fabric before? I simply needed a small strip for a project, and I was met with extreme difficulty. After arguing the yardage with her, I decided to take 1/4 yard instead, since it was obviously too hard for her to get out a calculator and figure out the cost. The only reason I'm giving this location 3 stars is because their selection is top notch. They have many types of fabrics, colors, and price ranges to suit crafters across the board. I desperately wished they overhauled their customer service, but I suppose we can't all have nice things.
